About Hermes Landscaping
Hermes Landscaping has been family-owned and operated since we were founded in 1965. We are active in both commercial and residential landscape contracting in the Kansas City metro area and beyond. Our full range of services includes commercial and residential landscape design and installation, landscape maintenance, sprinkler service, seasonal color, and snow removal. If you can dream it, we can build it. From outdoor kitchens to patios, retaining walls, lighting, and anything in between, we’ve got you covered. Check out our departmental pages for details.
In addition to the landscaping side of our business, Hermes is also a grower of premium nursery stock on about 500 acres in Johnson County. Headquartered at a beautiful facility in Shawnee, Hermes Nursery supplies plant material to landscapers and retail nurseries all over the Midwest, as well as providing for all our own landscaping projects. For more information on our wholesale nursery operation, go to www.hermesnursery.com.
Quality has been the hallmark at Hermes since the beginning; it’s what we’re known for. We follow the rules, we don’t cut corners, and we take care of our customers. Simply put, we do the job right. But that’s just the beginning. Hermes employs a team of about 200 talented and courteous professionals across four main divisions and several offices. We take on all kinds of projects, large or small, and we have the knowledge, experience, and wherewithal to handle it all.
That’s the nuts and bolts. But who are we really?
We like to get up early, work hard, and go home feeling good about a day’s work. We love being outside every day, digging in the dirt with the sun on our backs. We think there is something special about the smell of fresh cut grass. We are the kind of people who will look you in the eye with a smile and a handshake. We keep our trucks clean and tuck in our shirts. We return phone calls. We are the kind of people you can count on when something comes up. And we say, “Thank you" for your business.
“Our mission states that our purpose is to 'make our world more beautiful.' This is, in fact, one of the intangible benefits of our business, and we derive a sense of purpose when we are able to make our community more beautiful through landscape." —Dalton Hermes, CEO
