Prestonwood Landscape Services is looking for a Landscape Irrigation Technician in Dallas, TX. Landscape irrigation technicians perform all sprinkler irrigation related work, and under general supervision will direct and perform tasks in the installation, maintenance or operation of irrigation systems with coordination from Irrigation Department Manager. Duties and Responsibilities (other duties/responsibilities not listed may be required):
Installing irrigation systems and ensuring that they function efficiently.
Repairing and maintaining valves, tracing electrical components, installing and initializing clocks and timers, locating existing zones and valves and performing pump repairs.
Adhering to Company's safety policy and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crews.
Ensuring that customers are satisfied completely through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits.
Installing, programming automatic controllers.
Ability to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust, noise, and weather conditions.
Ability to operate powered equipment directly related to irrigation installation and repair i.e. trenching machine.
Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and saws.
Understand and practice all safety procedures in all work circumstances.
Daily Reports to Irrigation Manager.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with commercial irrigation systems.
Irrigation or technician license a must, certification a plus.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
Current and valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Organized with strong work ethics.
